American League, Minnesota goes for its 6th straight win

Tonight American League prediction, written by Olivier:
*Number 1 indicate road team win, number 2 home team win with
respective chances

Orioles (Matusz) @ Yankees (Vazquez) 2 75%
Brian Matusz has struggled mightily in his past two outings since
tossing seven shutout innings against the Indians on May 15. The rookie
allowed 13 combined runs in 7 1/3 innings against the Rangers and A's.
Baltimore has lost five in a row and 9 of its past 11. Yankees starter,

Javier Vazquez, has pitched well in his last 3 starts with a 2-1 record
and a 3.75 ERA. Yankees has won 5 out of 6 game against the Orioles this
season.

Indians (Westbrook) @ Tigers (Bonderman) 2 60%
Jeremy Bonderman has given up just one run over his last 13 innings
while Indians starter has allowed 9 runs in his last 12 innings.
Westbrook also has a 4-8 record against division rivals Tigers with a
5.99 ERA. It's gonna be a low scoring game and Detroit's bullpen is much
better. The Tigers, after losing 3 out of 4 against the A's, need to get
back on the winning ways and will start from tonight.

Rays (Niemann) @ Blue Jays (Tallet) 1 55%
Jeff Niemann has been stellar so far this season and will lead Tampa to
a big win against division rivals Toronto Jays. Tallet is coming back
after a forearm injury and has to prove that he's worth to be Toronto
fifth starter. Tampa Bay offense has slowed down in the month of May
after a very prolific April and they hope to get back to the hitting mode.

Athletics (Gonzalez) @ Red Sox (Lackey) 2 65%
John Lackey has really good numbers against Oakland in his career (16-4
2.76 ERA). Boston has won 10 of the last 14 games and look to climb the
AL East rankings. The A's are in the middle of a 10 games in 10 days
road trip in three different cities and their game in Detroit yesterday
afternoon was delayed more than 2 hours due to rain. The difference
between the 2 teams today will be: rest. Boston will prevail.

Angels (Pineiro) @ Royals (Bannister) 2 55%
Bannister is going for his fourth straight win and he has a 3.72 ERA
with only 2 walks and 10 strikeouts during the span. Pineiro hasn't find
a good rythm yet this season and has a 3-5 record with an ERA just below
5.00. The Angels effort to get back to a .500 record will be postponed.

Rangers (Harden) @ Whitesox (Buehrle) 2 60%
Coming off a 4-3 roadtrip the Whitesox will try to gain some ground in
the AL Central division and get closer to the .500 mark during the
upcoming 9 game homestand. Buehrle has pitched well all season despite
his misleading 3-5 record with a 4.38 ERA and has pitched a no-hitter in
his career against Texas. Rangers talented pitcher Harden will try to
keep Chicago bats quiet but will have a hard time as the Southsiders are
starting to swing the bat well.

Twins (Blackburn) @ Mariners (Vargas) 1 55%Twins won last night close ballgame and will ride Nick Blackburn for
another huge victory. Blackburn was impressive last time out in the
Bronx against the Yankees allowing just 2 runs over 7 innings. Mariners
starter Jason Vargas has been a pleasant surprise for Seattle this
season with a 3.12 ERA but his offense is not going to support him
enough to beat the Twins. Low scoring game.
