MLB A-Rod hit his 20th Grand Slam

Indians @ Yankees 2 -11
Andy Pettitte was solid as he's been since the start of this season improving his record to 7-1. He threw 7 innings allowing just 1 earned run, 4 hits and no walks. A-Rod hit his 7th homer of the season and his career 20th grand slam. Talbot continues
to impress in his rookie campaign allowing 3 runs in 6.1 but Cleveland offense was not able to support the big right hander and the bullpen gave up 8 runs in only 1 inning and two thirds.

Athletics @ Tigers 4 - 1
Trevor Cahill pitched 6 and 1/3 solid innings improving his record to 4-2. The A's earned a 4 game series win, they have won 8 of the last 10 games. Verlander pitched well but Detroit offense didn't back him up.

Angels @ Royals 7 - 1
Juan Rivera, Maicer Izturis and Mike Napoli all belted home runs, while starter Ervin Santana worked seven solid innings to earn his fourth straight victory as the Angels captured the opener in Kansas City. Hochevar pitched 7 innings allowing 5 runs over 9 hits and 2 walks. The only Kansas City run came in the 5th with a Jason Kendall RBI-double.

Rays @ Blue Jays 2 - 3
Rays lost their 6th game in the last 8 losing ground in the AL East from both Toronto and New York. Garza allowed 2 runs in the first on the 2 run shot by Adam lind before settling down. Tampa came short on the come from behind try scoring 2 runs in the 8th. Morrow pitched to 1 hitter in the 8th before leaving the lead to the bullpen that was able to hold it.

Twins @ Mariners 5 - 4
Big series-opener victory over Seattle for the AL Central leading Twins. Young, Cuddyer and Kubel homered to back up Liriano quality start (6 innings, 3 earned runs) and run the streak to 5 straight wins. Mariners tried to come back but came up short scoring just 1 run in the bottom of the ninth off closer Jon Rauch who collected his 13th save.
Seattle starter Doug Fister allowed 5 runs in 7 and 2/3 while Milton Bradley had 2 RBI on 2 ground outs.
